I’m Claire – a food stylist who believes food should be shot in all its authentic glory – juicy, realistic, luscious.
I believe that in creating advertising, we should be creating art. Bold, modern,
vibrant is my style; and bringing big, brave
briefs to life is what I’m best at.
I believe in simplicity, doing things properly and zero food waste, always. I’m about the details (that’s where the magic lies), results, integrity and creativity, all coupled with efficiency.
My base is a sun-filled food styling studio in Johannesburg, South Africa where I work to bring creative ideas to life through beautifully styled images and video.
My 10+ years of experience in the food styling industry, training as a professional chef, past as a food editor and years owning my commercial food styling business mean I know food really, really well. My technical knowledge of why food behaves as it does, paired with my experience on high-pressure sets allows me to approach shoots in a calm, dynamic and resourceful way.
