The details on my recipe development service

Recipe development is the art of creating inspiring recipes from scratch and writing them in a way that anyone can follow and cook at home. The process begins with an initial idea, research of techniques, shopping for ingredients, testing and perfecting, and finally writing the recipe in a clear, easy-to-follow way.

I've written more about my process of creating recipes which you can find here.

WHY TRUST ME TO CREATE YOUR RECIPES?

I'm trained and have worked as a chef, and have spent several years as food editor of Food & Home Entertaining Magazine, South Africa's longest-running food magazine. My experience as a food editor testing, developing and editing recipes means that my recipes work every time, and are professionally and precisely written.

Long before my career started, my education began at home. There were always delicious things to eat and piles of inspiring magazines; this made me realise that food is so much more than just sustenance. Through these roles and experiences I've developed a love of culinary techniques, trends and ingredients and I adore sharing this knowledge through my recipes.

MY STYLE OF COOKING?

I'm passionate about developing homely and inspiring recipes for cooks to share with their loved ones and my favourite food is simple, often healthy, and sometimes glamorous, but always bursting with flavour. My recipes are about taste, not perfect technique and rules and I try to take the fuss out of cooking by keeping steps simple.

If you like the sound of a giant gooey Easter egg cookie; pumpkin, cinnamon and sweet potato soup with crispy chickpeas; popcorn and salted caramel swirl ice cream or melty thyme-baked Camembert with honey and puff pastry dippers – then I think you've come to the right place! These are a handful of the hundreds of recipes I've created, and I'd love to chat about conjuring up some equally delicious (and distinctly South African) ideas with your brand in mind.

I’m an experienced food stylist who also specialises in recipe development in Johannesburg, South Africa. Get in touch and let’s chat about creating delicious things for your brand.
